Majalengka is a sub-district in Tatar Pasundan which is also the capital of Majalengka Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia. With an area of 1,204 km2. Background The Majalengka community is predominantly Sundanese. The northern part of this district is the lowlands, while in the southern part of the mountains. Mount Ciremai is in the east, which is on the border with Kuningan Regency. This mountain is the highest mountain in West Java Province, and is a national park, under the name of Gunung Ciremai National Park.

Furthermore, currently underway the construction of a large project of West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati in Majalengka Regency which will become the center of new economic growth that supports the surrounding area. Built on an area of 96,000 meters2 and is expected to be able to serve passengers up to 56 million passengers per year so it can thus become a new economic growth in Majalengka and West Java in particular. The airport is targeted to be completed in 2018.
